Scott Nielsen, D.D.S.
I am a Mesa native. I started my early years in the Dobson Ranch area going to Booker T. Washington Elementary. We later moved to East Mesa where I graduated from Mountain View High School. I served a mission for my church in El Salvador and was able to learn Spanish, which I enjoy using today. I went on to graduate from ASU with a Communications degree and a minor in Spanish. I then attended at the University of Southern California Dental School. You can imagine how conflicted I am when USC plays ASU during the football season!
During college, I met the love of my life, Krissy. We were married in 2002 and we have two amazing kids.
Some of my favorite hobbies and things to do are: All things sports, smoking meat on my Yoder smoker, coaching my son’s sports teams, going to the beach and Disneyland. But most importantly, I am a family man. I love being with my wife and kids no matter what we are doing.
One of the most important facets in my life entails legacy. When my grandfather passed away, there was a span of 20 years from his retirement to his passing. During his life, he enjoyed working as the president of a large company. At his funeral services I was amazed that the services were full of his old employees showing their respects after 20 years. It was one of those moments that made me realize that my grandfather was a wonderful employer and friend to his employees, and their attendance at his funeral showed they still truly cared for him. His legacy is something that I hold dear to me and want to emulate.
Two things that are important to me are taking care of my patients and taking care of my staff. I want my legacy to be much like my grandfather’s legacy... a legacy in which people know and feel like they are being treated fairly, kindly, and with care. Along with this is my goal to grow old with both my staff and patients. In doing so, we've created a comfortable and pleasant experience for everyone.
My goal as your dentist is to make sure that you are taken care of to the fullest. Each and every patient is important to me. I strive to provide an environment of comfort, understanding and care.
